Women Working for the World Forum I
In the year 2013, The Juan Felipe Gómez Escobar Foundation launched the first Women Working for the World Forum in Bogotá, with women leaders from the U.S., Afghanistan, Greece, Panama and Colombia, from different fields such as non-for-profit, government, media and health, and private sector.
This event was designed specifically for people and opinion leaders who have shown unwavering commitment to changing the conditions of women and girls around the world, girls who don´t have a voice or no power to change the course of their own lives due to their economic and social conditions.
Women leaders like Pat Mitchell, Maya Buvinic, Carla Goldstein, Cristiana Falcone, Peggy Clark, Shabana Basij-Rasikh, Claudia Palacios, Verna Eggleston, Katie Drasser, Jacquelyn Mayfield , Alix Roberts – Judd , Lori Levine Ordover, Princess Tatiana of Greece, María Clemencia de Santos, Jaqueline Elías, Vivian de Torrijos, María del Mar Palau, Vanessa García- Brito, Ángela Escallón Emiliani, Luly de Samper, María Claudia Lacouture and María Elvira Arango , were some of the important panelists who joined the 2013 Women Working For the World experience.
The first Women Working for the World Forum had over 450 business leaders amongst social entrepreneurs, high national government officials, media, and opinions leaders from different sectors.
